Making a Difference

We are a not-for-profit organisation that put the profits that come from running our community cafe back into the Warrandyte community.

We currently provide housing for asylum seekers, women escaping domestic violence, and the homeless. We provide food, mental health and general support to many doing it tough in the community. We also provide training and employment to many people facing significant challenges.

If you want to contribute by donating to our work we would be extremely grateful.

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"

Martin Luther King Jnr

At Now and Not Yet, we are deeply committed to standing up for justice and equity for all people. One of the ways we live this out is through our work alongside refugees and asylum seekers—using our voice, spaces, and resources to walk with those who are too often silenced or denied their basic rights. This is more than charity; it’s about solidarity, dignity, and ensuring that everyone has a place at the table.

Quality over quantity.

Over the past eight years, we’ve had the privilege of standing alongside more than 10 refugees as they’ve navigated the complex and often painful fight for asylum in Australia. These incredible individuals are no longer just part of the process—they’ve become part of our Now and Not Yet family. Today, we continue to walk with them in whatever ways they need—whether it’s providing housing, employment, legal support, or simply being a constant presence in their lives. Our commitment is lifelong. We will always show up, stand beside them, and ensure they never face these challenges alone.
